I did discover a new drink for 2019, and its a stout made in Uganda. I do go to the bar most of the time alone for rock night and I like doing stout drinks.
So a stout is a dark, top-fermented beer with a number of variations, including dry stout, Baltic porter, milk stout, and imperial stout and Guinness is the most common on, I also had a chance to test the Guinness Lager in 2019 but if was more of a soda. But to the new Nile Stout.
Stout drinks are not really beers instead they are a type of ale, generally lower in alcohol, with roasted barely or black patent malt, which gives it its dark colour and flavour.
The Nile Stout is my #BOTY2019 because it’s Ugandan and that makes it African, one of those things that are going to define the next 60 years of the continent.
The only problem with stout drinks is that you need a number of them to enjoy them, they are like beers in green bottles they make you spend a little bit more if you didn’t have a strong principled plan for the night.
